Play Space

I am happy to announce that a proposal I submitted for a play ground at Prince Charles Hospital Paediatric Emergency Department last year has been accepted and funding has been approved through Art & Place.

The development process is expected to be protracted as there are many public safety guidelines that must be addressed and a number of engineering issues to be resolved.

The project is due for completion in late 2011.

Correlate progress

Progress on the installation of 'correlate' at St. Leo's College, University of Queensland has been a little slow due to a discrepancy between the dimensions of the stainless steel frame for the glass and the frame into which this is placed. The issue is now resolved and the glass and mirrored panels are almost all in place.

Robert and Paul Ugljesa from Optima glass and aluminium have worked tirelessly to secure each pane with delicate precision.

correlate

Correlate - a 3 dimensional steel and glass building facade is currently being installed at St. Leo's Catholic Men's College, University of Queensland, St. Lucia.
The work was commissioned to celebrate St Leo's ongoing relationship with the University of Queensland.
Initially the stainless steel frames will be installed and secured, following, this within each cell of the frame, a panel of clear or mirrored glass will be secured.
